On the occasion of World Water Day, Amity Institute of Environmental Sciences and Amity Institute of Marine Sciences, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, organized a five-day activity-based value-added program in collaboration with the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), GoI, New Delhi, from March 16th to March 22nd, 2023.
The primary goal of the Five Days Activity Based Value Added Programme was to provide an opportunity for academicians, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and research scholars to share and discuss ideas and practices relating to water conservation, sanitation, and hygiene. Every day was packed with training, webinars, and activities such as water ghat cleaning drives, model-making projects, NGOs' sanitation awareness campaigns, and so on.
Mr. R. K. Gupta, the Guest of Honor, delivered a lecture on 'Sustainable Management for Water Security and Sanitation Practices' at Amity University, Noida, to discuss how safe drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene are critical to human health and well-being, some of the remarkable strides that India has made through schemes and initiatives like Jal Jeevan Mission, and sustainable practices that every individual can follow at home.
